Homemade Strawberry Pop Tarts
I recently found this recipe on Pinterest and had to make my own pop tarts right away! They taste a lot better than what you get in a box from the grocery store. Its easy to make and doesn't take up a whole afternoon like some recipes I have recently made. This is definitely a recipe you want to try!

1/2 teaspoon salt

These pop tarts are fairly easy to make, when you have good directions. The sight I got this recipe off of was terrible in terms of how to write directions and putting things in order. I would recommend that if you are making these to please use my directions you will not mess up your pop tarts like I did! While making this recipe I used butter and shortening while looking at the directions you were only suppose to use one or the other they did not say that until the very end when you were done baking. Also with this recipe you can use pie crust that is already made. The recipe that I used was all messed up, and the directions were terrible. So hopefully I can make your baking experience easier with these helpful directions. I made adjustments to the pie crust so if you want to try homemade pie crust use the one in this blog. In the end though for what happened with this recipe they turned out to taste pretty well.
Enjoy!
I will not be listing the source that I used because I changed the recipe around so much. If you would like other sources Google: homemade pop tarts or use Pinterest.
Try these with lemon curd! My favorite flavor, bet they'd be yummy!
